Founders and designers Hëx and Hept melds grafic design, art and clothing in their Hixsept collections. With a background as graffiti painters the urban space is their ever present source of inspiration and the pigeon is the logo representing them. He is frowned upon and as a natural part of the city not being paid attention, like the graffiti itself . With the line “Le Terrain Vague”, existing in between the seasonal collections, they wander outside the borders of the conventional fashion brand and into the world of art, offering ideas and items beyond our expectations of a clothing line.

Tonight is the opening of the exhibition Nouveau Nude, the male nude show at Dalston Super Store in London. It celebrates and explores the subject of the male nude body, asking qestions about its place in society today and where it might be heading in the future. Alex Noble is both curator and one of the exhibiting artists along with duo Exterface and Mikel Marton to name a few.

Marloestenbhömer were featured here on the blog a while back and are now launching their first commercially available shoe ‘Beigefoldedshoe’ after two years of development. Constructed from one piece of leather and incorporating a stainless steel heel the item is as much an object of art and a piece of design as it is a shoe – a characteristic of all of ten Bhömer’s designs. ‘Beigefoldedshoe’ is available in their online shop for £2,250.
