“Cent cinquante-deux proverbes mis au goût du jour” (”152 proverbs adapted to the taste of the day”) is a brilliant example of surrealist automatic writing by Paul Eluard and Benjamin Péret, first published in 1925.

La Chatte consists of the charismatic Vava (singer), Stéphane Argillet (machines), and Nikolu (guitar). Their music is influenced by the colourful electro-pop of the seventies, verges sometimes on the chaotic with gusts of post-punk and no wave, with a melancholic loop in the background, both obscure and minimalist.
